Richmond City Council has agreed on a budget that provides for bold investments in our kids, families and communities. This budget takes pragmatic steps to address the unique set of challenges our City faces and includes key priorities that were proposed by Mayor Stoney, including fully funding RPS operations and maintenance, $16 million for repaving streets, expanding GRTC routes in Southside and the East End, and funding Virginia’s first eviction diversion program. Final passage of the FY20 budget is expected to take place on Monday, May 13 at 6 p.m. in Council Chamber at City Hall. Together, we are building an inclusive, thriving Richmond and making it a great place to live for everyone.
